Clinic Partners with JLBR to Host Diaper Drive

Junior League Diaper

Did you know? In the United States, 1 in 3 families struggle to provide their children with clean diapers.

Diapers are a big expense and despite being a basic need, there is no direct government assistance available for diapers. Children who stay in soiled diapers longer than appropriate have increased chance of diaper rash, viral illnesses, and UTI’s.

The Junior League of Baton Rouge (JLBR) created a special project called the Diaper Cooperative with the mission of keeping babies in East Baton Rouge Parish healthy, happy and dry. The Baton Rouge Clinic has partnered with the JLBR’s Diaper Cooperative in order to raise donations for this great cause.

The Baton Rouge Clinic will have a barrel in the Pediatric lobby on Perkins Road for donations.

Acceptable donations include:

  • New, disposable diapers of any size, type, or brand (open packages are acceptable)
  • Unopened, unused wipes and diaper creams

Your donations will go straight to distribution partners and nonprofit agencies who are on the front lines helping the most vulnerable in the community. Thank you for helping us with this Diaper Drive, and we look forward to a wonderful turnout!
