With nearly a decade and a half of experience in the field of Internal Medicine, Dr. Allison Barbin has helped many people achieve a healthier and more productive life. A native of nearby Donaldsonville, Louisiana, Dr. Barbin came to Baton Rouge to attend LSU and earned her B.S. from the University in 1992. Her next step in her medical education took her to New Orleans where she earned her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in 1996, followed by her performing her residency in Internal Medicine at LSU’s Earl K. Long Medical Center from 1996-99. From 1999 - 2000, she served as Chief Resident at LSU Earl K. Long.
Prior to joining The Baton Rouge Clinic, Dr. Barbin practiced with the Internal Medicine Associates of Louisiana. Professionally, she holds certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
When not practicing medicine, she is a member of the Mother’s Club of St. Joseph Academy and Catholic High School of Baton Rouge. She also serves on the Auxiliary Board of the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre. Dr. Barbin is married with four children and enjoys the personal pleasures of reading and traveling as well as being with her family.In The News
