In his nearly four decades in the practice of Internal Medicine, Dr. Frank Alvarez has helped innumerable patients lead healthier lives. Born in Greenville, Mississippi, Dr. Alvarez earned his B.S. in 1968 and his M.D. in 1972, both from from the University of Mississippi. Continuing his medical education, he performed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Following several years in private practice, Dr. Alvarez joined The Baton Rouge Clinic in 1991. He is board certified by the Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. He has also served in the past as Clinical Instructor at the LSU School of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals.
Dr. Alvarez and his wife have three children and are proud to call Baton Rouge their home.In The News
