A member of The Baton Rouge Clinic since 1991, Dr. Jan Wampold is a native of historic Natchitoches, Louisiana but was raised in Baton Rouge where she currently resides with her family. Graduating with her B.S. from LSU in 1979, she completed her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1984 and performed her Internal Medicine residency through Emory University in Atlanta from 1984-87. She then performed her residency in Dermatology through LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans, completing that program in 1991 and then joining the Baton Rouge Clinic family of physicians.
Licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana, Dr. Wampold is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. She holds memberships in the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Louisiana Dermatological Society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
She is also an Assistant Professor with the LSU Dermatology Department.
Dr. Wampold is a member of St. George Church in Baton Rouge and is a member of Karnival Krewe de Louisiana, a Baton Rouge social organization. She and her husband have three children and among her interest are swimming, biking and traveling with her family.
