Not only does Dr. Patricia Whatley serve her patients through The Baton Rouge Clinic as an Internal Medicine physician, but she is also active through her church in medical missions abroad, providing much needed care to patients who would otherwise never have the benefit of basic medical attention.
Born in New Orleans, Dr. Whatley performed her undergraduate studies through LSU and earned her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2005. She performed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics through the University of Alabama-Birmingham, completing her program in 2009. While at UAB, she served as Chief Resident between 2008-09 and was UAB House Staff President in that same period.
Dr. Whatley holds a license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and received training in Women’s Health. She is also a volunteer with Health Corps, a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, and the Medical Strategic Network. In her practice, she holds a special interest in women’s health, adolescent care, and travel medicine.
A resident of Baton Rouge, she and her husband who practices Dermatology have one daughter. She enjoys travel, church service, volunteering in the community, and LSU sports.
