A specialist in Pulmonology Medicine and Sleep Medicine, Dr. William Hines has had a career in medicine of more than three decades. Earning his B.S. from LSU in 1975, he completed his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1978 and performed his residency in Internal Medicine through Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1981. He earned a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1983. After practicing Pulmonary Disease in Baton Rouge for a number of years, he joined The Baton Rouge Clinic in 2007.
Dr. Hines is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine and is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and North Carolina. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society. Dr. Hines is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at LSU in Baton Rouge.
A member of St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, he serves the church as a lector and usher. He is married and enjoys gardening as a hobby.
